For several years now, Advocate of Philippine Fair Trade, Inc. (APFTI) and its partners are actively pursuing the cause for sustainable development and alleviating poverty in the country side by strengthening and enforcing previous commitment to build domestic market for fair trade. Today, the Fair Trade Shop – Philippines is already a reality.
Herewith is the email message of Vicente Roaring, APFTI President and Executive Director, inviting partners to join the 2010 Annual Fair Trade Partners’ Conference in Cebu City on March 3-6, 2010.
Dear Friends and Partners
The Advocate of Philippine Fair Trade, Inc. (APFTI) will be holding the 2010 Annual Fair Trade Partners’ Conference in Cebu City on March 3-6, 2010, with the theme: “One Vision, Collective Action! The Fair Trade Shop-Philippines”. The 2010 Conference aims to strengthen and reinforce the message behind the previous four partner conferences – to build a domestic market for fair trade. In the previous years, the direction was set, the brand was developed and value chain explored. This year, the focus is on reaching out to the consumers and market.
Like in previous years, the event will gather APFTI’s Fair Trade Partners from various sectors, a gathering that is directed towards sustaining partnerships that have been established. During the conference, partners will share insights on fair trade marketing and explore potentials of further tapping into local markets and move the Philippine Fair Trade Movement to more sustainable ground.
This year, APFTI explores further ways for partners and advocates to come together to develop strategies and systems to tap into the mainstream market and spark behavioral shifts in purchasing patterns.
We would like you to be part of the process in outlining the parameters of this new undertaking; hence, we are inviting your participation to the 2010 Annual Fair Trade Partners’ Conference slated on March 3-6, 2010 at the Golden Prince Hotel, Cebu City.
Attached are the Programme of Activities and Registration Form. Should you have questions or require additional information, you can reach us at the following numbers (02) 425-1230 to 31 and (02) 454-4744 or at email@example.com look for Ester Gamboa or Cherie McCosker at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you very much,
President and Executive Director
In this 2010 Annual Fair Trade Partners’ Conference, we, APFTI partners and advocates, hope to see behavioural change and real progress in the purchasing patterns of the mainstream market.
