Fighting Climate Change: Human Solidarity in a Divided World

The UNDPs Human Development Report 2007/2008 discusses the various challenges we face regarding climate change, as well as future risks and potential strategies to mitigate the negative consequences. As the report states, "We are therefore making choices today that will affect our own lives, but even more so the lives of our children and grandchildren. This makes climate change different and more difficult than other policy challenges."

unfortunately climate change will affect the developing countries most and i think our leaders ie from developing and poorer countries should concentrate more in identifying and developing adaptation technologies strategies for the consequences of climate change

My concern is that already there are envisaged consequences as a result of the already global climate change, wish will soon, and is already having devastating consequences especially within the developing countries. So, my proposition is that while mitigation strategies are being developed, the developing country policy makers and leaders should as a matter of urgency and emergency work towards developing adaptation strategies to avoid severe consequences.
