Hi Rachel,

I have recently been receiving offers for Microfinance Consultancy jobs in Kenya. Can you tell me things about the peace and order situation in Nairobi, the cost of living especially housing, and the finance culture? Thanks and best regards.

Hi, thanks for the info.

I worked with the UNDP South Pacific Regional Headquarters in Suva. Fiji. I will have to find out which UNDP Regional HQ handles projects in Africa. Is your project on-going for quite sometime now? UNDP works on a bilateral agreements with countries and/or funds projects sponsored and/or partially funded by the governments of countries where the project is situated. Also, normally, part of the UNDP financial package is the fund to finance the periodic evaluation of the project. Typically, the evaluation is undertaken every quarter and at the end of the Project period. Let me know your answers to these and I will try to help direct you to the proper channels.

Hi.... The project is very new but we are working in alliance with a very large and well known agriculture company. But we are working in coordination with another project which has been running for 10 years to help expand their existing agro profile with our project which is a backpack farm. Yes, it sounds funny but is a really great initiatve to help launch cooperative farming with all the necessary agro tools, training, and monitoring, as well as brand and network development. into sustainable food secrutiy and income generation. So any POCs would be greatly appreciated.
