In this small island context the septic tank is the dominant technology. Tourism has developed to the point were loading on the environment is a threat. Large scale infrastructure is not affordable. Pollution comes from a variety of sources. Poor concieved, old setpic in house, hotels with underdimensioned systems, pigs near streams, farming using fertilers.
