Very interesting thoughts. I very much agree with you Mark: longer life products will help sustainability. It is very tough to convince companies since it will work against their profit margins.

10 Actions for Peace in 2008

Here is a list of 10 possible recommendations to help make the world more peaceful and encourage others to contribute their own lists. This is no particular order.

1) Examine how to create more peace in your personal life - If we do not have some degree of peace in our own internal lives, there is the question of how effective we can be in helping to build peace in our organizations, communities, societies and the world. There is no recipe for building peace,

Hi Dinger,
It is rally nice to know about you and your professional/occupational interests! It is more interesting that we are working for the same end in different direction—and our areas of interests are cross-cutting! I am more interested in “global security” or, in other words, “global sanity” towards well-being of human family.
As a freelance scholar, activist and writer, I am working and writing to explore newer vistas to translate the ideal of “unity of human family” into reality! I would appreciate if you could let me know about peoples and institutions nursing the vision of a world without violence and wars!
Sincere,
Jamshed Iqbal

Building resilience and adaptability is a multipronged effort.doc Localism in economic grwoth is very important for strengthing infrastucurual frame work in housing, engery and transportatonal needs. A stimalus base to build on using local goods and services first with in a 100 mile raduis of hub city states will in effect smooths the way for short term to long term investing stimalus at warp speed creating job growth. Ethical responsibility in business in restructuring old business in to future stability in new industries is a must .A stimalus infussion to localism will allow a stronger foundaion to build a true global economy.
