Hi Marissa,
Your profile indicates that you are into fund raising and anything related to the non profit world.
I am here doing some loud thinking. I am very actively involved in promoting CSR through a Monthly publication on CSR. We have had to suspend this for the past few months because of financial stringency. We also conduct Workshops on CSR in various parts of India. We have done five so far in New Delhi Oct 2007, Hyderabad January 2008, Chennai April 2008, Bangalore September 2008 anf New Delhi December 2008. We are in the midst of planning on on Social Entrepreneurship on June 5-6,2009.
The economic meltdown seems to have exposed the hollowness of the CSR claims of both private and public sector organisation. While the earlier workshops attracted over 50 participants from the Corporate sector the last two barely a dozen. The excuse being that the financial meltdown had cut CSR budgets. But tra8ining is not the only sector which has lost down many NGOs are complaining that ongoing projects have been drastically cut forcing them either to abandon these projects or to reduce considerably.
I get the feeling that NGOs and non profits need to look to generating internal revenues if they want to survive and continue to do social good. This is one reason we have decided to take up Social Entrepreneurship.
I am interested in having your views on the situation in the developed world. Do conditions I have mentioned operate there.
Also whether there are organisations that can support Social entrepreneurship in developing countries.
To get an idea of the workshop and also to see some of the pictures of past workshops I would request you to look at my page.
Please inform if you provide grants to individuals also and what parameters are used in assessment of projects? And if you have any associations in india? If yes then what projects are on?
So, we emailed you and called you and there has been no return call? We are in Negotiations with Draper Richards Foundation and others... if you are still interested contact Linda Yahr, CPA President of MVS at: jyahrmicroventuresupport.org.

Marissa, Greg O'Neill here. Kerrie Claire Wilson, Founder/Director, Phoenix Voyage www.phoenixvoyage.com recently gave me the position of PV Special Projects Director, working closely with her. She and Mat, her PV financial manager/wizard, are presently working to secure billions in Euros for global development projects, and seem about to enjoy success in that effort. We are excited about the awesome potential of working with a growing network of people, now over 600, to bring about positive, life enhancing, changes on the global stage, bringing new technologies, systems, and materials, to those countries most in need. --- We are certainly getting off to a great start now. --- Your funding sources may want to join PV as partners for responsible socially
philanthropy.

Thanks for propt reply. I am outstretched due to many projects work at the same time without planning for some thing so big and even talking to some one gives me courage.
Hi Berg,
We are a bit different NGO working in tribal areas of Eastern India, with a motive to train and develope entreprenureship amongst Triabl youth, who are leaving their place of residence and going to metros to be exploited.
Right now we are making groups at various remote locations and interlinking them. The poverty and remoteness is forcing these people to opt for extremism and many to die of hunger.
I am posting today a copy of newspapre report, which teels the story as to how people are dying and even the govt agencies are not able to reach them
We need more of moral support right now, though have send our projects to many organisations, to assist us in getting funds.
It will be nice to intract with people like you,
Namaste ,
Ravi
