Ludovic Laine is one of the two Managing Partners of La Paz Group, a company specialized in the valorization of the heritage of territories (nations, regions, private estates) through programs that blend conservation, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
Created in 1996, La Paz Group was among the pioneers that developed, for governments and private sector Clients, programs that leverage the symbiotic relationships that exist between sustainable tourism, poverty alleviation, and heritage conservation efforts. Destinations the firm has helped include: Costa Rica, Ecuador (Galapagos Island), and Montenegro. Organizations it has worked with include: United Nations Development Program (UNDP), WWF, and the Avina Foundation.
Today the company is structured in three departments: Sustainable Destination Planning & Management, Sustainable Travel & Hospitality, and Scientific & Cultural Heritage Conservation. Current projects include the development of a wellness resort in South Asia (www.panigram.com) and an exploration program dedicated to the discovery and rescuing of the rare and fragile scientific heritage that lies encased in the Arctic (http://mammuthus.org).
Prior to his current endeavors, Ludovic was the Managing Director of the New York office for one of America's leading branding and marketing communications firms whose portfolio of accounts included Mexico, Cirque du Soleil, the French Government Tourism Board, and the Leading Hotels of the World. Other organizations he has provided services to include Le Méridien Hotels, Hyatt and the International Spa Association whose prestigious members include Canyon Ranch, Rancho La Puerta, and Golden Doors.
Ludovic holds an MBA-accredited Masters of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University where he specialized in strategic marketing, spa development, and sustainable development.
