You may well be able to negotiate a work for training on a course may teachers are open to discussions and it can add to experience. Our partner project in El Salvador IPES, is looking for volunteers, but can't offer any pay, just experience, I will keep you informed of any other opportunities. Our next stage website will have space for members to share offers and requests, it will be launched in September, but keep an eye on it in the mean time for opportunities.

Wes Roe is one of my friends on this network - he is an organizer at Santa Barbara, get in contact with him for more about what is happening in the USA. Also Cuba is a great example of urban farming - have you seen Power of Communities, it is a truly inspirational film. Another fun urban project is Organization of Permaculture and Arts in Salvador Brazil, their website is www.opabrasil.org

Have you done a permaculture design course yet? It only takes 2 weeks and is great for application of theory. Here is the international database web address: www.permaculture.org.uk/intgroups.asp There is quite a lot in the USA. The best people to contact for opportunities as Santa Barbara permaculture network, they have great international connections. Do you speak Spanish?

Hi Emily,
Where are you based? I would love to know more about your work in the tropics, especially where it has involved permaculture - I am working to get a comprehensive database of permaculture projects available. If you need contacts involved in permaculture let me know.
