Hi,

My name is Henry and I do have a few years experience in Micro-finance. Would love if anybody could network with me on microfinance opportunities. I was involved in microfinance policy and product development in Papua New guinea. Anybody who can give me opportunities to work and network with microfinance institutions?, Thanks

hi guys.
hope you are all well.I am really impressed by Marcus for having come up with this idea of starting the MF forum.
I have over six years experience in the micro finance/micro enterprise sector having worked as a development finance officer and lately as a product development officer, where I have managed to tailor some products for the poor active, including the agricultural finance products.

Does anybody know of any organization awarding study grants in micro finance or anyway I would get a study scholarship to pursue a masters degree in development and micro finance from martyrs university in Uganda starting this year 2008 October,I already have an admission on the same..

Will really appreciate every ones advice.
Thank you in advance
keep well

Hey Joseph,

This is not about master's degree in mocrofinance, and i don't know if this will interest you. But ADB Institute is offering Microfinance Training of Trainers. It's a 3-month distance education for microfinance practitioners. Registration is ongoing. Fee is $300 but you pay only $50 and ADBI looks for sponsors for the balance. You can visit ADBI website if you are interested.

Thank you for inviting me to join Microfinance Group. Yes, I'm happy to join the group and share my skills.

I have a masters degree in finance and my professional experience from commercial & development banks includes managing funds catered to SME. In development work, I have a chance to work in microfinance project of CARE-Phils. and for overseas, I worked in Africa assisting women's group in micro-finance and product development including marketing. While here in southeast Asia, I also worked in the SME sector promoting micro-enterprise development and microfinance. I also conducted microfinance workshop in a refugee camp in Thailand.

Based on my various experience, I developed my own workshop/training module for people with limited skills in running their micro-finance projects/enterprises.

It would be great if I can help other people or organization.

Good morning, Partners! I've begun to share notes about my development experiences (pls see blog articles). Many engagements were related to enterprise development and development finance (including micro-finance). Happy viewing!

Hello. I am new to this group. I am actively looking for individuals with connections to VC from the Middle East who want to pursue agricultural development as part of their own food security strategy. Feel free to contact me directly. I look forward to the positive feedback. I am working in Africa and want to secure funding for several projects which include profit sharing with our local communities.
