[Funding Available] Energy, Infrastructure & Environmental Projects: Any Suggestions for Sourcing These Types of Opportunities?

----------------------------------------

I work with a New York-based intermediary helping to connect global energy, infrastructure, environmental, and humanitarian projects with investment capital, with a focus on the US$100M to US$5B range.

We currently accept proposals for the following types of projects:

Infrastructure - mass transit, railways, airports, seaports, roads, bridges, tunnels, water distribution, waste management, flood control, etc.

Energy - generation, storage, distribution, both traditional and green/alternative projects, oil & gas, solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, biofuels, etc.

Humanitarian & Socially Beneficial - hospitals, schools, housing, telecommunications, water wells, etc.

Environmental - brownfield redevelopment, pollution control, waste heat reuse, waste water, natural resource management, etc.

Technology - incl. R&D and 2nd Tier Financing

Agriculture - irrigation, drainage, land improvement, soil stabilization, etc.

Business or Production Expansion

Hai! Scott. It is quite interesting that you listed so many sectors. Could you further elaborate on this. What kind of funding is it? Is it like venture capital or like grants, especially for humanitarian projects. I am involved with couple of not-for profit organisations supporting them on large scale projects. I could put them in here for further discussion if you can elaborate further the mode of funding, chanel etc.

Thanks for your inquiry. We work with a capital source that has been mandated to lend for the types of projects as outlined. We undertake the initial evaluation of a proposal based on an executive summary, complete business plan, and financial projections for the project. What we (and our lender) need to see is that the plan has been developed in enough detail that it is ready to implement, that financial projections reflect this detail (the use of funds can be specifically outlined), and will stand up to external auditing as the funding will be extended in phases subject to this.

For non-profit/NGO-led initiatives, our capital source will provide grants rather than loans. The same level of documentation is required - whether it be toilet construction, educational system improvements, free hospitals, food security programs, etc. - and again must be developed to such a detail that financial projections have been created and the use of funds can be specifically outlined.

Our source does not limit its investment scope geographically, and we would be happy to evaluate proposals in Africa or elsewhere. Please feel free to send me an email at anderson.scottalan@gmail.com and I will forward on an overview of our firm and funding process. Thank you.

Kind regards,
Scott

There is a amazing solar lighting project going on at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Art and Technology in NYC. I am working on a small pilot project involving a solar lighting microfranchise business model which we are testing in Uganda. There are other technical and business pilots going on concurrently. I've attached a letter explaining the project and an academic paper, which describes the solar system and project vision. We have received serious interest from groups in 26 countries.

If there is interest, I can provide additional information.

Thank you for considering.

Hello Genice,

Thank you for reaching out. This is an extraordinary venture, and certainly within the scope of our lender's interests. Unfortunately, we will not be of much assistance in this case due to the scale of investment required. I will however, keep and eye out for other groups that may have an interest. Thanks again.

Thank you. I would appreciate any assistance you could offer in connecting me with donors for this small pillot. Once we test the pilot, we can roll the project out to other communities. We have received serious interest from groups and communities in 26+ countries to date.

Best regards,
